Library of Things

The Richmond Public Library is pleased to introduce a Library of Things!  What is a library of things?  It is a collection of objects available for check-out that extend beyond traditional library materials.  Our library of things includes:

New - While Supplies Last
New to the Lending Library! We want to make sure every child has a bit of birthday cheer! These take home cake kits include: cake mix, can of soda, frosting, tin for baking, 12 candles. Just mix the soda and cake mix and bake according to the box directions! Simple, shelf stable, and ready for your celebration. We will also have more candles available at the front desk if your child is over 12. Find near the Library of Things.

Happiest Birthday Boxes. Whether or not there is a financial need, whether its a birthday or other celebration, let us provide the cake. Everything you need is included in the box. The soda not only makes the kit shelf stable but replaces milk and eggs! Mix the soda with the cake mix. Bake according to box directions. Frost and cover with included sprinkles as desired. If you need more than 12 candles, ask for more at the circulation desk. Enjoy celebrating on us!!
